Properties of chloroprene rubber

It is an elastomer of chloroprene (i.e. 2-chloro-1, 3-butadiene), which is produced by the major raw material of epoxy-polymerization. The solubility parameters of neoprene are: 9.2 ~ 9.41. Soluble in toluene, xylene, ethylene dichloride, three vanadium ethylene, slightly soluble in acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, ethyl acetate and cyclohexane, insoluble in hexane and solvent gasoline, but soluble in the appropriate proportion of good solvent and bad solvent and non solvent or bad mixed solvent composed of solvent and non solvent, swelling and not dissolve in the vegetable oil and mineral oil.

Good physical and mechanical properties, oil resistance, heat resistance, fire resistance, sunlight resistance, ozone resistance, acid and alkali resistance, chemical resistance reagent. The disadvantage is poor cold resistance and storage stability. It has high tensile strength, elongation, reversible crystallization and good adhesion. Aging resistance, heat resistance. Excellent oil and chemical resistance. Weatherability and ozone resistance aging is second only to ethylene propylene rubber and butyl rubber. Heat resistant NBR and its decomposition temperature of 230 ~ 260 ℃, short-term resistant to 120 ~ 150 ℃, in 80 ~ 100 ℃ can be use for a long time, have a certain flame retardant. Oil resistance is second only to NBR. Good resistance to inorganic acid and alkali corrosion. Poor cold resistance, poor electrical insulation. The storage stability of raw glue is poor, resulting in the phenomenon of "self-sulfur".
